Why does it feel like no matter what we do, who we vote for, we always seem to get the same thing? It appears, for decades in Australia, politicians acting in the national interest is a distant memory.

I seem to remember when pride in being strong and free was core to Australian culture. As if it was just there, an inalienable right, an asset gifted from generation to generation, for all, without prejudice.

Once there were men of vision and substance, they cared for Australia and her people. They took on public office as a service to the public.

In the words of the great Jimmy Barnes “ I tell ya he’s a working class man”. Senator Payman, just threw a bomb at the Labor Party, and they’re vulnerable. I think she exposes a lot more then she knows, I’m not even sure it’s her intention to show this, but she invariably has.
