The former Liberal NSW state executive who sued former prime minister Scott Morrison will attempt to unseat prominent Energy Minister Chris Bowen in a safe Labor electorate.

Matthew Camenzuli, a former member of NSW Liberal state executive now running against Energy Minister Chris Bowen in his Sydney seat of McMahon, said councils were important as “they are the closest to the community” but “there should be no duplication of government services”.

Sadly, like the reality show “Survivor”, modern party politics seems to favour scoundrels, puppets and non-threatening fools. Good ones do get through, but lately we are seeing streams of second-and-third-rate characters enter councils, state, and federal parliament across Australia. It is sad.
