The Western world is in crisis

Whether you like it or not the United States of America is the world's largest influencer. It is more than just a matter of economics, their power, is cultural, military and legal. Just about every aspect of world politics and particular the politics of the western world is shaped by the USA.

There was a time where this gave me confidence. I think many of us fondly remember a seemingly benevolent US as the world’s police and court. A time when we thought the land of the free and home of the brave was the protector of democracy, the keeper of the flame of justice, of hope.

The shining light of the vision of democracy, tracing back to ancient Greece, handed down from Western empire to empire, down to the great and powerful USA. We in Australia were proudly a key lower rung on the ladder of the Anglo-American empire, the light of the world. Floating on the deck of a mighty aircraft carrier, host of Maverick and Goose, somewhere in the pacific, present day. Not this present day, Top Gun present day. That day is certainly not today.

Now we live in uncertain times.

A time where the heroes and villains are less clear. Where lobbyists for big businesses, a lazy media and a weak political class are drunk on the spoils of everything from war to electricity-windmills. A time when the best and brightest, the so-called smartest people in the room can’t define what a woman is, disturbingly, they can’t tell the difference between their mother and father. Strange if not frightening times.

We could always look to the Commander in Chief, the 'leader of the free world' to point out the way. To tell us why we are the good and the enemy bad, to do that with clarity and have evidence backing the claim.

We would love our clear moral imperative. Not today, not anymore.

Now we have President Joe Biden and it all seems to be completely upside down, lost at sea. Possibly because Joe’s own brain is lost at sea. His cognitive decline not new, but now in the open for all to see.

Even those covering it up in ’19 and ‘20 are forced to admit the game is up. The man with the nuclear codes, can’t define woman, because he thinks his VP is former President Donald Trump, his competitor.

Everyone in the world, including our global competitors can see the decline in standards, the leader of the free world is sadly severely cognitively impaired. He has the nuclear codes. No amount of covering up covers for the fact that Joe is not performing in the role of President, I don’t think he has been since he was inaugurated. The system is so corrupt now, this much is obvious, that we in the west can’t claim the high moral ground on anything, anywhere.

Our enemies know that too.

That’s why it is all going bananas.

The Democrats changing from Joe to Newsom, Michelle, Hillary or Batman will make no difference to the obvious fact, they pretended Joe was President, while they drank down our prosperity, hope and high moral ground and relieved themselves in the gutter.

Only President Donald Trump can restore any chance of the USA regaining its position as a moral authority and giving the rest of us hope that our children will have a future here in the outer rim of the American empire, surrounded by her greatest rivals.

I hope, I pray the people of the USA can see this, it is existential for us here as much as for them there.

“Well may we say, “God save the Queen”” … - but at this time I think it is more appropriate to say, “God bless America”, the world is relying on it.
