Let’s restore Australia
Labor has walked away from the people of Australia. They don't love this country, they don't put Australia or Australians first. They've taken the 'u' out of Labor.
It is likely that there will be a minority government, so quality independents will have the power to change the country. It's time to send career politicians a message - vote differently and restore Australia.

I’M SICK OF POLITICIANS
Chris Bowen is certainly not representing the people of McMahon. Our politicians are too busy lining their own pockets and the major parties have let us all down.
That's why I am running as an independent in the seat of McMahon at the federal election.
As someone who grew up in Greystanes, grew my business, and started my family here. I get it.
We need to get real.
I want to bring common sense, authenticity, and courage back to Canberra.

common sense. courage. authenticity
Policy Positions

Reduce the cost of groceries, fuel & basics
Every time I walk out of the supermarket, the grocery bags are lighter and the bill is higher. Right now in McMahon, there are people putting food items back at the checkout because they can't afford them. We need cheap and reliable energy. We need fuel prices to come down. It's in the Australian government's power to do something about this, but they just don't care.
Housing for all Australians
Successive governments have failed the people of McMahon and Australia. We should not be in a situation where people can't afford to buy a home. Right now, we have a serious supply/demand issue. We need to ensure that every Australian can afford a home. We need to cut government regulations and release public land to ensure new homes can be built.

Bring a strong Western Sydney voice to Canberra
For too long, those of us that live in Western Sydney, and particularly McMahon, have been completely ignored by the political class. We have to pay outrageous tolls, have inferior roads and neglected and understaffed hospitals. I have heard countless stories of hardships faced by locals who are completely frustrated with the lack of representation. I will advocate for local issues in parliament and ensure that McMahon does not have to keep paying a 'Western Sydney tax'. Our community deserves better.
Bring back opportunity
Australians should be able to afford the basics. We should not be in a position where Australians have to choose between paying for groceries - because there is a monopoly entrenched by corporations - and putting a roof over their heads. We need to bring back an Australia that thrives and prospers. Australian talent should be recognised and encouraged - people should be able to thrive on merit.

Scrap hidden taxes on everyday items
There is a flow-on effect to all of these taxes, especially fuel. Everything that is going up in price, is as a direct result of these unnecessary and burdensome taxes. The fuel tax multiplies the cost of everything, from your groceries to your clothes, and everything in between. Having a beer after a long days work should not be a luxury. The tobacco tax contributes to crime, and it is out of control. Scrap the taxes.
Your Super, Your Money
The Australian people are suffering right now. They should be able to use their own money as they see fit. If they need super to buy a home, they should be able to access it. You worked for it - it's your money.

Department of Government Efficiency
We must urgently review and cut back the more than 1300 government entities. The problem right now is that we have politicians that don't understand the challenges that real people face - they are creating more bureaucracy that does nothing to help the Australian people. They are talking about the things that don't matter. The government should work for the people. Not line their own pockets and not create more inefficient departments that make life harder for everyday Australians.
Why I am running as an independent for the seat of McMahon

I grew up in a seat that has been held by Labor for my whole life.
Almost all of my uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends voted Labor. I personally could never understand it. To me, it seemed that they were kissing the hand that held them down - held us down.
Slowly, as more time passed, more and more of them started to see through. That the promise of free things from government, never came from government. It came out of us. The talk about support for this community or that, never amounted to anything more than talk.
Sure, it looked good on television, sounded good on radio, but when it came to the crunch we were left out in the cold, as they signalled a new virtue to a newer and shinier group. Meaning none of it. Not authentic, not real, not true. It is patronising, vapid and sad.
The pain of lost hope. The slow and certain erosion of more of what we had yesterday.
The promise of a nation, a land of opportunity and reward for risk - reward for effort. As grandparents pass, and grandchildren are locked out of home ownership - the cycle seems to be speeding up.
It’s getting worse.
mcmahon needs an independent advocate
With a hung parliament seeming likely, I want to use the power of being an independent to push for common sense policies for Western Sydney.
For too long the major parties have been more concerned about playing political games and infighting than serving the community. We can send a message to Canberra that Western Sydney matters and should not be taken for granted by any party!
As an Independent in a hung parliament, I will hold whichever party forms government to account and ensure that they are passing policies that are tackling the biggest issues faced by our area like cost of living, affordable housing and access to healthcare.
